Once fully configured and SQL Forum 2008 on my HP server running Windows Server 2008 R2 Essential 64-bit
When I try to start MSSQLSERVER, I get the following error:
initerrlog: Could not open error log file "". Operating system error means 3 (Failed to get error text. Reason: 15105).
Can anyone help someone as this is my first time having this problem and I don't know how to fix it.
I am solving this problem, and for people having the same, SQL Server 2008 should not be configured with the main autorun option, but you should be offering the right click option: Open and therefore run the installation as administrator.
Also, if you need to open SSMS and try to find the server name positively, but nothing like that, just type

Hello everyone, I have a similar problem with my mailbox. It worked well ahead of the weekend. Server
This is a large virtual machine whose disk is shared with a number of other virtual machines rtual machines. On Saturday, we bought a large package of Windows updates. Hundreds of patches that have not been used for several months. It filled some of the physical disks on which the server is running, and they all suddenly disconnected.
We freed up hard disk space and restarted the operating system, but the SQL Server services did not start. When I try to restart it manually, my vision actually shows this message in the log:
An activation file error. The physical file name "E: MSSQL MSSQL10_50.MSSQLSERVER MSSQL Binn mssqlsystemresource.ldf" may not be correct. If you diagnose and fix other errors, repeat the process.
Trying to run SQL-server from cmd: sqlservr -T3608 several times returns the following message:
Operating system error 3 (An error occurred while collecting the text for this error. Reason 15105).
I have checked whether the file to the location: 'E: MSSQL MSSQL10_50.MSSQLSERVER MSSQL Binn mssqlsystemresource.ldf', so I do not know what to do with it.
In case someone follows - I found a message in my trusted SQL Server administration program WroxPress: "The resource database is only used during installation or when the correct service pack is applied. Mine"
Since the problem started after using the service pack and we stopped working unexpectedly, I thought it might be better to reapply the service pack. This fixed the problem.
I am making the same mistake. However, it seems to be decoupled from the blue because I haven't applied any service packs. The only thing that has changed in my opinion is the Windows update a while ago.
There is a .ldf file. Does anyone know any tips for solving this problem?
Try to extend the installation or simply remove some SQL components, restart your computer and try again.
Thank you. I'll try to fix the CD with you, you know. The thing is that the replenishment is done and it takes more than a year to look for it.
It's just that you are just developing the installation, and now no one really counts on it. I get nervous when factors seem ineffective. I like to have a reason for an idea.
This is prproblem with permissions! ... you feel like you need to try to access the log and the user starts the sql server .... orrrr ..... just during testing ... try adding the current driver running as admin sqlserver and you find that you can create a service ....
To verify that this is the case in your scenario, tell the person that you are running the SQL Server service as an administrator on the SQL Server computer. So try starting the service. If the site is successful, you can start buying the rights at an acceptable point in the market. But try this amazing thing before reinstalling SQL Server or any of the other drastic steps mentioned earlier.
My problem occurred while changing the startup parameters of the SQL Host 2008r2 service. I got an error while changing these settings =>
Error detecting forgotten document ";" (Semicolon) enters the parameter. I solved this problem and fixed it.
As in the round script, I had the same problem with one of my editions of SQL Server 2008 R2. After I correctAvil the problem and compared it to another case study, I found that there are two elliptical accounts that need permission for the ERRORLOG file. that is
If a problem occurs, the account is displayed that has the appropriate file permissions on the computer, then SQL Server error 17058 is displayed.
I got a real error several times. I decided to let them run the installation and troubleshoot the instance that would fix the problem. This is not the case. After several attempts and influenced by my services and links, I went through all the "sources". I went looking for my build folder and found that for some reason my folders were already missing permissions. I added my local service network for my own admins and products with full rights to start the service again and that fixed the issue.
It was a simple permission issue. Hope this helps guys.
ps. I noticed that an update was attempted a few days ago, so internet marketers thought it was determined But it has something to do with changing permissions.
ps2. - My setup and database setup files are in my virtual machine database. Hope everything helps you.
I encountered the same error yesterday. Ideally, I should have set up NET START load plans for SQL from the command line. Will I certainly be able to avoid using sqlservr.exe in the future?Speed up your computer today by downloading the software that will fix your PC errors.
